Our Comfort Bareback pad is designed to be non-slip, breathable, and shock-absorbing. The pad has a great suede look with the famous ThinLine breathable material on top. This has an amazing shock absorption for both horses and riders and the waffle-weave backing keeps you stable and happy.

How do you take care of your ThinLine Bareback Pad?
ThinLine Tack is extremely easy to take care of. Keep your Comfort Bareback Pad clean by hosing down. Hang to dry naturally with no heat source, including sun. Using a fan speeds the drying process. Using baby wipes or a little simple dish soap works well for quick cleans up too.
To ensure the longevity of your ThinLine Tack. It is important to keep it away from chemicals such as Show Sheen, Fly spray, Leather Oils, etc. This can cause the ThinLine foam to harden.

I ordered my Thin Line saddle pad on the recommendation of a well respected Saddle Fitter following her assessment of my horse Schweppes. Schweppes needs to build some muscle and top line in order for him to work to his best potential so riding him in a tree’s saddle is currently out of the question.

The pad is exceptional, really transformative riding experience and will certainly look to other saddle pads from this line following this experience. The only challenge I have found is in the girthing of the pad. the webbing binding on the edges of the girth has significantly rubbed my horse, no other girth has ever rubbed him, so I have had to wrap the girth in a cover to protect him from the edges.

I expected alot but this ThinLine barebackpad is just unbelivable! I own an older horse (24) and he was starting to show me he is not into riding in the arena that much anymore. He wasn’t a bareback riding fan either. Just like me.. I rode with this pad two times now and he is just so motivated! I sit on it like in a saddle, no slipping left or right at all or jumping up in the air (he’s a dressage horse with a lot of movement in the back, I usually sit in trot very hard in the saddle)-so yes the shock absorbing is amazing, it doesn’t slip on him either, it stays absolutely put! He has a lot of wither and his back muscle isn’t the best anymore so bareback he was quite uncomfortable, with the pad I hardly feel anything at all! Best purchase ever!! I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a nice bareback pad! Don’t let the thinness of it fool you!

As a horsetrainer, this barebackpad has made my teaching and training a lot easier. It fits ponies as well as horses, so I can use it to break in the young horses and to help my clients develop a more balanced seat. My 18 hand Friesian has rather tall withers, and finding a bareback pad that would fit him properly was a journey of six years. Everything else we tried failed miserably to give us a good ride, until I found this pad at a local saddlery last fall. Not only is it comfortable for my horse and myself, but it fits other horses beautifully as well. I ride a couple of horses bareback–one who is 28 with a prominent spine and one who is very round. I use a thick orthopedic pad as well with the older horse, but it was causing trouble with a standard bareback pad without wither relief. When riding the round mare with a regular bareback pad I would be sitting on the front edge of the pad (usually as it slid off the side!) within a few minutes of mounting. With the ThinLine’s shaped wither and correct girth placement (and breastcollar attachment!) I have a great bareback pad that MY sensitive back agrees with that stays PUT on both horses! Love it!
